Hello guys!

It's that time of the week again, and today's blog is about Jen & Richard’s 10 Year Anniversary party!

Earlier this year we received a call from Jen & Richard asking if we could perform for their Anniversary party on the 12th August and we were honoured to be asked! It wasn't long until we started hitting the rehearsal rooms to build our repertoire for the event!

This was an awesome learning experience for us as a band as this was our first ‘party’ booking! So we got straight into prepping the material which spanned a range of classics taken from different time periods!

From Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis, to The Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam and AC/DC we got to work building the setlists and finding how we could also adapt the songs to suit our style.

A hidden surprise that no one knew was coming was that Jen and her daughter Chloe would be joining us onstage that night. Jen was secretly practicing the drums to The Pretender by the Foo Fighters and Chloe was going to sing the song Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac!

We had a lot of fun rehearsing the material so when we had both Jen and Chloe join us it was awesome to jam and for us to also have fun with songs that weren't from our genre and style as a band.

One thing is that we definitely learnt a lot about ourselves as musicians as well as our band. We learnt what other sounds work for us so we now know where some of our limitations are and what other influences and styles we can pull from!

Fast forward to the party, we got there early to set up on time, got all the equipment and lighting setup and we were ready to go!

We played two one hour long sets mixing up songs to get the crowd on their feet! We also treated the audience to one of our new upcoming songs from our E.P.!

We brought back the 50s with some rock n' roll while treating the family to some of their favourites! We even chucked in some hits from the seventies like Superstition and Life In The Fast Lane.

Jen and Chloe smashed their performances! It was awesome to watch how all their family and friends gathered around to cheer and support them!

As we went further into the sets we began to introduce some classics such as I'd Rather Go Blind by Etta James which got everyone up for a slow dance and to end with a sing a long to Don’t Look Back in Anger by Oasis!

To round off the night we closed with a punch bringing out Even Flow and Highway to Hell!

For our last song we pulled out a favourite that we like to end our Black Wolf Blues shows with which is Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival!

In the meantime, please check out the debut album Black Wolf Blues from 2019 on streaming platforms, If you haven't already, do check it out, some really great music is there!

And last but not least in a few months you will also find  the first single of our second studio release currently being recorded: a brand new EP!

Our first studio album was an absolute success, with results and feedback from the public much better than expected, and if you haven't already don't forget to check it out on all digital platforms: Black Wolf Blues.

And now a couple of years later, a lot of hard work and preparation has been put into this EP, with some of the songs having been in the works for years, now finally ready to be released.

We are really excited and working on this project every single day, it will really blow your minds guys.

You will also get to see the artwork of the EP - which will be awesome - from the very first single, as well as the name of the EP.

As an independent band we need all the support we can get, so we are running a crowdfunding campaign to help us fund the recording of our EP and make it as awesome as possible for you!

If you'd like to contribute with any amount just head on over to our website or Linktree and you will find the link to the crowdfunding there.

Our next gig is on October 12th at The Good Mixer In Camden Town, an amazing venue right in the heart of Camden - and it’s a free entry show too!
